Datadog integration

MarshalCloud reads your Datadog monitors and their state, and can pull Datadog alert events and open security signals into its own investigation. It never changes anything in Datadog.

What MarshalCloud does with it

  • Your Datadog monitors and their current state, shown next to MarshalCloud's own uptime checks so one page answers 'is anything broken'.
  • With the connector on: Datadog alert events from the last 14 days, and open security signals, which become findings MarshalCloud can investigate alongside its own.
  • It stores a short summary only: monitor name, state and type, and when it last triggered.

What it never does

  • It never creates, mutes, resolves or changes anything in Datadog. Every call is a read.
  • Your API and application keys are encrypted and never shown back by any interface or API.
  • If Datadog cannot be reached the view says unavailable and records the type of error. It never turns a failed read into a green result.

Read-only is the default everywhere. A fix is drafted, priced and explained, and then waits for a person to approve it. The whole access path is on Security and access.

Which plan includes it

Growth and above: the pricing table lists Datadog and Sentry connectors from Growth, and the product returns a plan error below it. See pricing. See every plan limit.

How to connect it

  1. Create a Datadog API key and application key with read access.
  2. Paste both into MarshalCloud's operations settings, with your Datadog site.
  3. Sync. MarshalCloud lists your monitors and shows their state; a failed sync says unavailable rather than nothing.

Questions

Does MarshalCloud change anything in Datadog?
No. It lists your monitors and reads events and open security signals. It never creates, mutes, resolves or edits anything in Datadog.
What happens to my Datadog keys?
They are encrypted at rest and never returned by any interface or API, including to you. The settings page shows only whether a key is set.

MarshalCloud

MarshalCloud is your agentic friend for the cloud. Four named agents read AWS, Google Cloud and Kubernetes, name what changed in spend, security and uptime, and draft the fix. A person approves every change.
