What MarshalCloud does with it

MarshalCloud sends: cost anomalies, budget warnings, security findings, uptime and certificate alerts, incidents, and scheduled cost summaries.
Where one-click fixes are on, it can also post a proposed fix in plain words with an Approve fix button and a Not now button. Nothing changes until someone presses Approve fix.
A Slack approval is checked four ways before it counts: Slack's own request signature, a one-time code MarshalCloud put on that button, the workspace it came from, and whether that Slack user is on your approver list. It then runs through exactly the same approval path as the button in the app.

What it never does

MarshalCloud does not read your Slack messages. The connection is an outgoing webhook to one channel, not a bot in your workspace.
The webhook URL is never shown back to anyone, in the interface or in a log: a failed delivery records the type of error and the host, never the address.
An empty approver list means nobody can approve from Slack, which is the default.

Read-only is the default everywhere. A fix is drafted, priced and explained, and then waits for a person to approve it. The whole access path is on Security and access.

How to connect it

In Slack, create an incoming webhook for the channel you want the alerts in.
Paste the URL into MarshalCloud's alert settings and send a test message.
For approving fixes from Slack, add your workspace and the Slack users allowed to approve. Leave it empty and nobody can.
